Burnett Barker Solicitors

Legal-sector brand, campaign and website support

Challenge

Burnett Barker already had a strong visual identity and a well-established reputation in Bury St Edmunds. The opportunity was not to reinvent the brand, but to elevate it and apply it more consistently across the firm’s website, campaigns, social media and printed communications.

The firm wanted to increase visibility, drive more traffic to the website and create more useful, engaging content around key legal services including conveyancing, family law, mediation, divorce, probate and powers of attorney.

The challenge was to make the brand feel friendly, helpful and approachable while retaining the trust, professionalism and credibility people expect from a law firm. It was also important that the website and marketing assets were practical for the team to use, reducing the need to rely on a long chain of external support for everyday updates.

Role: I worked with Burnett Barker as a retained creative partner, supporting the firm across website design, campaigns and day-to-day marketing. Working alongside Burnett Barker and On Point Content, I helped deliver a consistent visual identity across digital and print communications.

My work included designing the website, managing the development process, creating campaign assets and supporting ongoing marketing activity across social media, email, advertising, testimonials and service-led content.

Solution:

The solution was to build on the existing brand and create a more consistent, flexible and client-friendly marketing system across multiple channels.

Rather than making legal communications feel formal or intimidating, the creative approach focused on clarity, reassurance and trust. Campaigns were designed to speak to people at moments when they may be dealing with important, emotional or stressful life decisions, such as buying or selling a home, going through separation, arranging powers of attorney or seeking family law advice.

The website was designed to be clear, accessible and easier for the Burnett Barker team to manage, with flexible layouts and assets that supported both service information and ongoing content. Across social, email and advertising, the design system helped the firm present client stories, testimonials and legal topics in a more engaging and consistent way.

Impact:

The work helped Burnett Barker create a more consistent and engaging presence across website, social, email and campaign activity. It gave the firm a stronger visual system for communicating legal expertise in a way that felt clear, professional and approachable.

The website became a more useful platform for content and enquiries, with a noticeable increase in web chat enquiries. Blog content continued to attract traffic after publication, while video content became one of the firm’s most shareable formats and outperformed previous posts by over 200%.

For me, this project is a strong example of legal-sector marketing that balances credibility with warmth. It shows how an established professional services brand can be elevated through consistent design, practical systems and client-focused communications.
